Prolog Hybrid Operators in the Generalized Rule Programming Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes the so-called Hybrid Operators in Prolog – a concept which extends the Generalized Rule Based Programming Model (GREP). This extension allows a GREP-based application to communicate with the environment by providing input/output operations, user interaction, and process synchronization. Furthermore, it allows for the integration of such an application with contemporary software technologies including Prolog based code. The proposed Hybrid Operators extend GREP as a knowledge-based software development concept.

Visual Generalized Rule Programming Model for Prolog with Hybrid Operators
The rule-based programming paradigm is omnipresent in a number of engineering domains. However, there are some fundamental semantical differences between it and classic programming approaches. No generic solution for using rules to model business logic in classic software has been provided so far. In this paper a new approach for Generalized Rule-based Programming (GREP) is given. It is based o...

متن کاملProgramming finite-domain constraint propagators in Action Rules
In this paper, we propose a new language construct, called AR (Action Rules), and describe how various propagators for finite-domain constraints can be implemented in it. An action rule specifies a pattern for agents, an action that the agents can carry out, and an event pattern for events that can activate the agents. AR combines the goal-oriented execution model of logic programming with the ...
متن کاملGeneralized Cyclic Open Shop Scheduling and a Hybrid Algorithm
In this paper, we first introduce a generalized version of open shop scheduling (OSS), called generalized cyclic open shop scheduling (GCOSS) and then develop a hybrid method of metaheuristic to solve this problem. Open shop scheduling is concerned with processing n jobs on m machines, where each job has exactly m operations and operation i of each job has to be processed on machine i . However...
متن کاملResultants Semantics for Prolog
In this paper we study some rst order formulas, called resultants, which can be used to describe in a concise way most of the relevant information associated to SLD-derivations. We rst extend to resultants some classical results of logic programming theory. Then we deene a xpoint semantics for Prolog computed resultants, i.e. those formulas which are obtained by considering the leftmost selecti...
